2021 is the first year of the "Prestigious College" construction and the "14th Five-Year Plan" of the JXVTC, which also puts forward higher requirements for the school's internationalization work. At the beginning of the semester, the International Education Department, under the guidance and organization of the School Leader, carefully studied Secretary FANG Junliang’s important speech on school construction, combined with the assessment requirements and the actual situation of our school’s internationalization work, elaborated a work plan for 2021, and according to the importance and urgency, the core tasks such as "recruitment of international students", "opening of Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools", and "number of students going abroad (border)" are clarified.

In view of the weak foundation and lack of experience in related core tasks, Mrs.Fang Yiqun, the Vice dean (Executive) of the International Education Department, recently led a team to visit the  Sister Universities in Jiaxing to learn from and exchange experience.

On March 31^st, Fang Yiqun and her entourage visited Jiaxing Nanyang Polytechnic. Liu Ruozhu, the Vice dean of the International Education Institute, received and introduced the situation of internationalization work such as acquisition of the qualification for recruiting international students, daily management, immigration management, facilities’ preparation, etc. The two sides also discussed the difficulties and solutions of Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools under the current situation.

On April 1^st , the main leaders and all faculty members of the International Education Institute of Jiaxing University received Fang Yiqun and her entourage. Deputy Dean Li Yueshun introduced in detail the basic situation of institute, the history of the development of international exchange, the history of teachers’ overseas visits and daily management of foreign students. The two parties also exchanged views on Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools and multi-level cooperation.

This visit to the sister universities was very rewarding. The department not only learned the relevant situation on the work of international students, but also broadened the ideas of international cooperation and exchanges. It provided very valuable experience for the next stage on internationalization work of JXVTC, also opened up a new opportunity for exchanges and cooperation between JXVTC and sister universities in internationalization work.
