——Applied English Majors’ Love Tour to Migrants’ Schools.

2013年4月17日星期三下午，嘉兴市蓝天学校迎来了一批特殊的客人--我院外语与贸易分院应用英语专业的40位同学，他们在分院陆金英院长的牵线搭桥下，来此延续感恩实践活动。

On the afternoon of Wednesday , April 17, 2013 , Blue Sky School of Jiaxing City ushered a group of special guests --- 40 Applied English Majors from Foreign Language & Trade School, Jiaxing Vocational Technical College. With the help of Lu Jinying, the executive vice dean, students came here to go on with their thanksgiving practice.

天气有些闷热，路途也有些遥远，但同学们对此次活动的期待淡化了所有的困难。他们带着事先精心准备的活动方案和小礼品来到了蓝天学校，在校门口就受到了孩子们以及校方领导的亲切接待。

Despite the muggy weather and the distant journey, students’ anticipation to this activity diluted all the difficulties of the event. With a well-prepared design and some gifts, they arrived at Blue Sky school, welcomed by the cordial reception of the children and school leadership at the school gate.

时钟指到了3：20的位置，蓝天学校一天中的最后一堂实践课正式开始，同学们被分配到了三、四年级的十个班级中与孩子们进行英语互动。活动内容丰富多样，有学英文儿歌、猜单词等；活动中孩子们的欢笑声散布到了整个校园。一节课的时间很快就过去了，此次实践活动在孩子们与“小老师们”的依依惜别中结束。

The striking of 3:20 announced the start of the practical lesson in the last period of Blue Sky School. English majors were assigned to 10 classes of Grade 3 or Grade 4 to conduct children’s activity by English interaction. Rich activities, such as learning English children songs and guessing English words spread laughter of children around the campus. A  45-minute lesson passed quickly, and ended in the reluctant parting between children and the student teachers.

应用英语专业的这次英语教学实践活动给民工子弟学校的孩子们送去了温暖，同学们用自己的学识回馈了社会,同时也锤炼了能力。他们深深体会到了“感恩”与“责任”这两个词的涵义与分量。至此，应用英语专业与蓝天学校的实践项目已经建立了长效的合作机制，专业将会在每周三下午选派学生到蓝天学校进行教学实践。

The professional practice in English teaching offered warmth to the children in migrants’ school. The English majors not only contributed to the society with their own knowledge, but also tempered themselves in this love tour. They came to understand the meaning and content of "Thanksgiving" and "Responsibility". Up to now, English majors’ Love Teaching Program to Blue Sky School has come into a long-term cooperation. Applied English Branch will choose and send top students there for teaching practice.
